Field Trips

Throughout the year, our preschoolers board the Discovery Years school bus and experience
local places of interest. Field trips are an excellent way to reinforce themes and concepts
by experiencing them in a concrete way. It is one thing to talk about an apple orchard and
another to arouse childrens' senses by taking in all the sights, smells, textures, tastes and
sounds of the real thing! From apple and pumpkin picking to theme parks such as the Land of
Make Believe, children have the opportunity to learn about the special features of their
surroundings. Our preschool field trips have an added benefit of easing one of the scarier
transitions into kindergarten - riding the school bus.
